Breakfast in Bangkok

Yes, I'm boiling eggs in a wok on a hot plate on my balcony.

Then a long walk to the big grocery store for supplies. It's the end of the monsoon season, so those big thunderstorms happen in mid-afternoon - been caught in one once already- not fun

  1. What are the grocery prices like? Have you eaten out yet? You should take a quick video of the monsoon from your balcony!

    1. Local food is cheap- International items expensive. I was so tempted to buy cheese yesterday but resisted. Do my videos work? Wanted to video Thunderstorm yesterday but thought it wouldn't open? ( White Kitty sunning on roof each day-lol)

  2. Videos seem to work! You should adjust to local food- to be honest, you should buy everything made (like restaurants, street vendors, etc.) - I bet its just as cheap!

  3. I have not yet bought street food- honestly, not as many vendors as in Shanghai- and I'm not interested in standing up in front of the 7 Eleven to eat Satay. But two taxi trips to the downtown area has shown me little Mom & Pop restaurants further down my street. Three or four tables with stools- that's what I want.
