Walking in larger and larger circles around Hangmy Hotel

I worry  about getting lost- but I'm surprised at the number of locals who speak manageable ( for me)  English.
Got a little lost last night, but walked into a Boutique Hotel ( so many in Hanoi Old Quarter!) - and a lovely young man pointed me in the right direction.

Today I got everything on my Souvenir List- yeah! Then I  followed a sign into an ally that advertised Fine Wines. A nice white Australian Chardonnay + corkscrew- because I "mimed" that I had no way to open it. Complete with a nice wine bag.

    Little narrow alleyway that I wasn't even sure led anywhere and bingo- a sweet little wine/beer Cafe hidden inside. I wanted to go back and actually have a glass of wine there- but the days here have just flown by. Too many places to walk- all amazing. I love Hanoi!
