My Third Visit to Hong Kong and I still am fascinated with this city!

After a Continental Breakfast at eh Xi Hotel ( formerly Minden Hotel) we hit the streets. These lovely women from mainland China offered us a taste of the tin of cookies they stood in line to purchase. The line was HUGE and we just wondered what they  were buying……………..
The original K 11 Mall in Hong Kong - literally at the end of our street. The concept is to decorate the mall with Chinese artists. The one in Shanghai - fairly new- is owned and operated by Hong Kong - and it was far more artsy- but this was fun!

Love the names of the restaurants in the K 11 Artt Mall
 Lock your heart away

 Birks I thought were cute
 Tea shop  - very expensive!
 This was called "Helping Hands"
Our lunch was Seafood Minestrone  soup with a "Dome". Dawn had the Lobster Bisque with a Dome. Very good!
The Art Galleries and Museums are FREE on Wednesdays in Hong Kong.  We paid an extra 5 Hong Kong dollars  ( the "Senior" discount-- 70 cents Canadian) to see the Special Exhibit of Chinese artists in the 1950s who studied in Paris. Fantastic!!!!
This piece is in the lobby
 In the Lobby……..

No photos allowed in the Art Museum
 Victoria Harbour

 A grande Hotel we passed

We met up with Joan from Shanghai Foreign Languages School at the Page One Bookstore on Canton Road. She was in Hong Kong for a Book Fair and Seminar. It was Great to see her one more time.
 Crazy statue in the Mall

The crowds on the street were unbelievable! And with the 40 +C  weather- exhausting!

A jewelry store close to our hotel
And, oh, I went back to the salon on Kimberly Road to get my hair "texturized" on top. Very happy with the result- $22.00 Canadian
