This is a local restaurant I have been to before. Authentic, local Chinese- Dawn was not sure, but it was good!
Forgot to take photos BEFORE  the meal- above- fried dumplings filled with pork
Rice with shrimp and pork and vegetables
A little "croaker" fish that I ate without choking on the bones- yeah!
Salad!!!!!!!!!! I find it more than usual these days - nice to accompany ANY meal!

Sunday June 29th - The Jewish Refugee Museum, Shanghai - and a home-cooked Chinese meal

My Chinese colleague- Danny - sent a lovely invitation to tour Dawn and I around the Jewish Refugee Museum this afternoon, take us back to his home where his parents will cook us an early dinner - and then walk the North Bund. Dawn is definitely up for this plan. Considering she had NO sleep on her 14-hour trip to China, I am so pleased with her resilience!  We do not have to meet him until 2 pm. - which will give her some time to sleep today………..

The Eagle has landed…………….DAWN!!!!

Her flight was not great, but she landed 15 minutes early(????).
Had a Starbucks moment  before lining up for a taxi.
When she learned I had been upgraded to a "suite", she marched back down to the front desk to ask why.
After some interesting deliberations with both "Kevin" and "Michael" - she got upgraded to a suite like mine - one floor above me.

This is mine - already "lived in"

Had a rather late dinner at a "Chinese" Pizza restaurant - then hassled poor "Kevin" for Internet in the room- (mine was working - Dawn's was not) problems with Dawn's safe- etc, etc, BUT SHE IS HERE AND REAL HOLIDAYS START TOMORROW!!!!
