I'm Home!!!! Sort of………….

Nice flight to and from on DragonAir - which carries Cathay flights to and from Shanghai. Both ways the flight was on 50% capacity. Lots of leg room and no "companions". Food was excellent! On time. Lots of cabin crew - very nice. I'd fly DragonAir anytime.

When we were landing in Shanghai, I said to myself "I'm Home!" Then I realized I'm not really "home". Had a moment-( almost needed tissue) - then moved on……………

Wake-up call at 6 a.m. and shuttle at 7:30 a.m. Airport by 9 a.m for an 11 a.m. flight. Was able to score some chamomile tea ( yeah! Can't always find it) and played on my mini iPad for a bit.

One hour and a half on the Metro ( three Interchanges) and I'm tired. But, met and chatted with a Hong Kong-born, Shanghai resident (teacher!) for about 45 minutes. She was sweet! We were comparing "notes" on the differences between Hong Kong and Shanghai- Wow- my Chinese colleagues here do not much like residents of Hong Kong and my new Hong Kong friend had similar feelings about Shanghai-nese. "They don't know how to "queue" - I laughed like hell.  Indeed, people on mainland China don't know how to "queue". Funny! Then came the "dirty" streets", the "unlawful traffic". I was in my element…….hope no one spoke English on that Metro Line.

What a sweetie - married just two years with a 10-month-old son (CUTIE!) - should have exchanged phone numbers!!!!
