I don't want to forget their faces, so I'll keep taking pictures
I decided I would prevent a (potentially) depressing weekend in my Dorm on the weekend of International Women's Day/ Birthday. I have to teach FIVE classes on my birthday proper, and there are no "sick days" or "personal days"- indeed, no Unions. I contemplated calling in sick anyway, but Sunshine recently mentioned that my birthday was coming up, so I know she would not "buy it". And, when you miss days and other teachers take your class, you must make these up in the future- so it's not really worth it.
I have booked myself into the Anting Villa in the French Concession in Shanghai. It had great ratings, the price was right, - and, whether it rains or not- I can walk around the Concession, see the sites, eat Western food and shop.
I sure hope it is as nice as it looks in the photo.
