Edison- the Artist

Edison- I have TWO - one is a Pre-Junior ( Grade 6) and he is the one with the amazing voice. The second Edison is in one of my Junior 2 class (Grade 8) and he draws all the way through class. Last week, I created an activity that he just LOVED: it was a "Picto-Story". 200 words with 20 "pictures" embedded in the story  INSTEAD OF A WORD. They all enjoyed it, but Edison was over the top with joy.
Last week I asked him to draw a picture for me to take back to Canada. He drew it this morning ( I had forgotten!) during our activity
Can you believe this? He made me cross-eyed and I showed it to other students and asked them if I WAS cross-eyed- but they said "No". But the rest of it is AMAZING!!!!
Lord knows what I say in these classrooms- I am tired by Thursday and this class is the first (8 a.m) of five. But, did he not capture the "essence"???
"She fight (sic) for freedom"  And notice the Canadian flag in the background. He got the hair right, and even included a part of the strap of my laptop bag that I carry to each class.
 Too funny!!!!

Morning assembly has just ended (8 a.m.) and they are headed to their respective classrooms. I am on the fourth floor of the next building just outside my office
