I am enjoying day 2 of a three-day holiday. In advance of the bonus that will show up in my May 5th pay cheque, I have booked myself into a 4-star hotel on the Bund. When I arrived yesterday I was told I got upgraded to a suite. Pictures to follow. You will be astounded at what you can have for $90.00 per night- taxes & services included.
Sunshine sent me a text telling me to "be careful" as the city would be very crowded on this holiday. The "be careful" warnings from her in the past have centered on simply the massive crowds ( worried about me tripping again?) and/or pick pockets .She is definitely right about the crowds. I could barely move on the sidewalks yesterday. But I loved walking on the Bund and I found my way to my favourite Foreign Book Store and browsed for about an hour and made some purchases.
