Enjoying Saturday morning coffee after a 6-day work week- filled with running errands after school

Sunshine gave me the Mandarin for Mosquito bite medicine. Walked to the pharmacy after work and this is what I got  ( 24 rmb - roughly $4.00 Cdn)  When I gestured to the women whether I should "drink it" ( Sunshine told me it was an external application)- they were horrified and told me (in Mandarin, of course)  "Noooooo!!!" ( It sounds like BU Sh to me)
I knew this, but it made me laugh like crazy and they laughed, too.
The stuff really works- my huge itchy red welts are significantly reduced this morning. The ointment in the smallest bottles stinks really bad………..had to open my window ( and let in more mosquitos- ahhh….China- who needs screens on windows???)

My fourth encounter with Chinese medicine. Broken wrist- pain and blood circulation, and calcium tablets. Two head colds - now that medicine was really interesting- and now mosquito bites.
Last Fall, Sunshine's calves were covered in mosquito bites and she told me "they LOVE my blood". I was SO happy they stayed away from me. But now, after NINE months of a largely Chinese diet- they have found me!!!!! Huge red itchy welt-like results. Yuck.
